It's the Holidays. Poverty is a great equalizer...

This holiday season, the song "Father Christmas" by the Kinks seems more timely than ever. "But give my daddy a job cause he needs one." or "Have yourself a good time, but remember the kids who got nothin', while you're drinkin' down your wine."

Seems so shameful that in the 'land of plenty' children go hungry and folks can't afford necessary medical assistance.

Let's all be grateful for what we have and those in our lives that add meaning, joy and hope... while never forgetting those who are without - like our neighbor next door!
